Compounded Tirzepatide in Palm Harbor, FL

Mounjaro runs $1,000 or more per month. Most insurance won’t cover it for weight loss.

Compounded tirzepatide contains the same active ingredient at a fraction of the cost, prescribed and supervised by a board-certified anti-aging specialist.

At Vitality Aesthetic & Regenerative Medicine, we offer compounded tirzepatide with B12 (cyanocobalamin) for eligible adults in Palm Harbor and the greater Tampa Bay area.

What Is Compounded Tirzepatide?

Compounded tirzepatide is a pharmacy-prepared formulation of tirzepatide, the same active ingredient found in Mounjaro and Zepbound.

It works as a dual GLP-1 and GIP receptor agonist, targeting two hormone pathways to:

  • Suppress appetite
  • Slow gastric emptying
  • Improve insulin sensitivity
  • Support significant fat reduction

Our formulation pairs tirzepatide with cyanocobalamin (B12) to support energy and metabolic function during treatment.

Why Compounded vs. Brand Name?

Mounjaro is manufactured by Eli Lilly at a fixed dose in a pre-filled pen. It’s FDA-approved and effective. It’s also priced out of reach for most patients paying out of pocket.

Compounded tirzepatide gives you:

The same active ingredient at a significantly lower cost.

Flexible dosing. Your dose is dialed in based on your metabolic profile, not a one-size schedule. Starting low and titrating appropriately improves tolerance and results.

B12 included. Our formulation combines tirzepatide with cyanocobalamin to support energy levels during the caloric reduction phase of treatment.

Telemedicine-compatible. Eligible patients can be evaluated and prescribed without an in-office visit.

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. They are prepared by licensed pharmacies and prescribed under medical supervision. All patients are screened before initiation.

Who Qualifies?

You may be a candidate if you:

  • Have a BMI of 30 or higher
  • Have a BMI of 27 or higher with a weight-related condition such as insulin resistance, hypertension, or metabolic syndrome
  • Have not achieved desired results with diet and lifestyle changes alone
  • Have tried semaglutide and want to explore a dual-pathway option

Eligibility is determined during your medical evaluation with Gina Pastore, MSN, ARNP-BC, ABAAHP.

What to Expect

Step 1: Medical Evaluation We review your health history, current medications, cardiovascular risk factors, and weight history.

Step 2: Lab Screening Labs may include fasting glucose, A1C, insulin, lipid panel, and thyroid. Hormone levels are assessed when indicated.

Step 3: Dose Titration Compounded tirzepatide is started at a lower dose and increased gradually to minimize gastrointestinal side effects and improve long-term tolerance.

Step 4: Ongoing Monitoring Regular follow-up includes weight tracking, symptom review, nutrition guidance, and periodic lab reassessment. Weekly lipo injections are included in our supervised program.

Common Side Effects

Most side effects occur during the titration phase and improve as your body adjusts.

  • Nausea
  • Decreased appetite
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • Bloating

Tirzepatide is not appropriate for patients with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN2, or certain pancreatic disorders. Full screening is conducted before prescribing.

Compounded Tirzepatide and Hormone Imbalance

Weight that doesn’t respond to diet and exercise is often driven by more than calories.

Estrogen decline, low testosterone, thyroid dysfunction, and insulin resistance all contribute to fat accumulation, particularly visceral fat. We evaluate the full metabolic picture, not just the number on the scale.

Patients who benefit most from combining tirzepatide with hormone therapy are evaluated individually. Learn more about hormone optimization at VAR Medicine.
